TRAVELLERS TIPS

TOP TIP
If you are in Lincoln for a couple of days or more take advantage of the NEW LINCOLN TRAVEL PASS which will save you money when visiting Cathedral, Castle and Bishop's Palace PLUS 25% discount when taking one of our tours and 10% discount in the shops of our two museums - bargain!

Tip1.
If you take the Walk and Ride 'bus to get up and down Steep Hill (£1.30 or a mature persons bus pass) please remember the  stop at The Collection no longer operates.

Tip 2  We often notice that visitors read the sign boards at the entrance to the Cathedral and turn away as they do not want to pay the entrance fee of £6.  As the entrance desk is away from the door we urge you to go into the Cathedral to give yourself a 'wow' moment when gazing down the nave and it also gives you the opportunity to visit the Cathedral shop.

Tip3.  If you want to go on a roof or tower tour of the Cathedral make sure you get your name down early as only 14 persons can be taken on a tour.
Tower tours only operate on a Saturday in the summer season.
Also be aware the Catherdal do not have any tours on a Sunday and services can restrict access to parts of the building.

Tip 4  The Bishops Palace is open Saturday and Sunday only for the winter season.
